Delete your account

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.

You can delete your account yourself at any time. Deletion is final — there is no way to restore it.

In the app

1. Open your profile and tap the menu in the top right corner.
2. Choose Settings → Account and security → Delete account.
3. The app shows you what will disappear. Confirm with the deletion word shown there.

Before the last step, the app shows a summary: how many entries, Challenges and ratings are attached to your account. If you are currently organising a Challenge, it disappears along with your account — including the entries other people have submitted to it. So if you don't want that, finish it first.

By email

If you can no longer get into the app, write from your account's email address to support@ipixvent.com with the subject “Konto löschen” (delete account) and your username. We will confirm the request to the same address and then delete the account — within one month at the latest (Art. 12(3) GDPR), usually much sooner.

What is deleted

• Your account with your email address, username, display name, date of birth, profile picture, profile text and channels.
• Your videos, photos, stories, comments, chat messages, ratings, follow relationships and blocks.
• Your participations, tickets, Season standings and redeemed perks.
• The result of your ID verification, including the fingerprint of your document number.

Video files are removed from the video service after deletion; backup copies are overwritten within the period stated in the Privacy Policy.

What remains — and why

• Accounting records of payments (live packages via Stripe) for seven years, because tax and commercial law require it under § 132 BAO (Austrian Federal Fiscal Code) and § 212 UGB (Austrian Commercial Code) — as a record with date, amount and payment ID, without any link to a profile. Purchases in the App Store and on Google Play are billed by Apple and Google; their records are kept there.
• Entries in the ipixvent team's log of moderation decisions (action, reason, time, the username at the time as text) — they are no longer linked to any account and serve to keep our decisions traceable.
• Other people's content that relates to you (for example a comment under someone else's video that mentions you) stays with the person who created it.
